Stand up Paddleboarding (SUP) is currently one of the fastest growing sports around the world.

Once confidence on the board is achieved, adults can take the kids or even their dogs out with you a board with them.

Intro to SUP

The learning curve is short, but consider a Beginner SUP Lesson before getting their feet wet.  

 

Participants learn:

  • board + equipment basics

  • paddle + stroke techniques for efficiency + injury reduction

  • pivots, turns, stops

  • water safety, caution and what to do if the weather turns

Calm and mindful yoga practice ideal for all levels.  Breath work and meditation, yoga alignment and functional movement for joint health.  Class often incorporates gentle MYOFASCIAL YOGA techniques with soft balls. Expect modified asanas and sun salutations to help participants find their sea legs.

The SUP Combo course combines all the content of SUP Fundamentals and SUP Next Step into one convenient 6-hour course. Learn everything you need to know to Stand Up Paddleboard on lakes big and small.

 

Expected Outcome:

You may start the course knowing nothing about paddleboarding, but will leave it with the confidence to paddle inland waters in a variety of real-life conditions. You will receive your Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater SUP Skills certificate.
